Gil was left out of Spurs’ squad for their current pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea to explore transfer opportunities, which has resulte in his move to the LaLiga outfit.
Spanish attacker Gil has struggle for regular opportunities at Tottenham since his 2021 move from Sevilla, making 43 appearances in total for the Premier League club and only 12 last season.
The 23-year-old turne down loan interest from Feyenoord and Brighton in January despite previous temporary spells at Valencia and Sevilla, but has accepte his game-time will again be limite at Spurs in the upcoming campaign and agree to join Girona.
It will give Gil the chance to play Champions League football after Girona claime a surprise third-place finish in LaLiga last season.
A statement on Girona’s website read: “Girona FC have reache an agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for the loan signing of winger Bryan Gil until the end of the season.
The new 23-year-old attacker has already passe his medical and will start training tomorrow under the orders of MÃchel Sánchez.
A skilful and quick player, Gil stands out for his dribbling and ability to take on defenders with ease, especially in one-on-one situations. He is adept at delivering accurate crosses into the box which makes him an important asset in creating goal scoring opportunities. Although he usually plays as a winger, he can play on both flanks and even in more central attacking roles.
